Telendos

Telendos is the island that dominates the view from the west coast of Kalymnos and is just a 10 minutes ferry ride away. It is a beautiful place, with many excellent crags and routes. It is also an important breeding ground for Eleanors Falcons which can be seen all over the island, they nest in October to catch migrating birds. There are many lovely beaches and walks around the island, which has only a few houses, and no cars or scooters. There can be few better ways to spend a day than climbing on Telendos until evening, and then having a meal in the village, looking at the beautiful colours reflected from the rocks on Kalymnos as the sun sets behind the hills. Ferries run every 30 minutes between Masouri and Telendos village.
